Born in Kerala, Shri Jacob Mathews came to Gujarat at a very young age. In his formative years, he had the fortune of working for some great visionaries like Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai, great scientists like Shri APJ Abdul Kalam, Professor Yash Pal, Professor UR Rao, Dr. Kasturirangan and bureaucrats like Shri T.N.Seshan etc.
Mr. Mathews has more than 25 years of experience in public Relations and HRD; mostly with ISRO and later on with Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative Ltd. (IFFCO). Since 1980, he has been teaching Management subjects to Post Graduate students in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and Gandhi Labor Institute, as a Guest Faculty. He was also a Faculty Member at the Fertilizer Management Development Institute (FMDI), Gurgaon. Mr. Mathews is also regularly teaching at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA). He was also a Visiting Faculty with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad for quite a number of their MDP Programs.
Mathews and his associates have successfully conducted a number of Workshops on Enhancing Creativity, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Leadership Styles, Understanding Communication Styles, Presentation Skills, Team Building, Time Management, Attitudinal Changes & Revitalization, Personal Transformation, Stress Management, Goal Directed Visualization etc, during the past 18 years in many parts of the country and abroad for Front, Middle and Senior level Managers. Some of the Corporate Houses for whom he has conducted in-house training programs in India include: PEPSI, Tata Telecom, ENRON, BASF, INFOSYS, Arvind Group, Cadila Pharma, Zydus Cadila, Torrent, Tata Teleservices, Vodafone, Airtel, Cochin Refineries, INTAS Pharma, Indian Rayons, KRIBHCO, IFFCO, ONGC, ELGI Equipments, KHS Machineries, BSES, Mafatlal Group, Indian Institute of Petroleum, Aeronautical Development Agency, ISRO, NRSA, NIO etc. He has also conducted several programs in Nigeria, Gulf Countries, US, Bangaladesh etc.
Mr. Mathews has traveled extensively in India and abroad. He was with the Roosevelt University, Chicago, USA, between 1976 and 1979 pursuing a Business Management program in Public Relations, Marketing & Behavioral science. He is a student of Dr. (Mrs.) Jean Houston, Director, Institute of Mind Research & Human Capacities Corporation, New York, USA. Mr. Mathews believes that this is a loaded time – great many things are happening; one of which is the rise of the feminine. Women have to come forward in full partnership with men to co-create a new planetary culture. Most of his programs emphasize the need for women empowerment. He is also very much into social activities.
Mr. Mathews’ other interests include directing and staging plays, making documentary and Ad films, designing and visualizing advertisements, editing and publishing magazines/house journals and as a narrator / commentator for TV programs. An excellent soccer player in his teens, Mr.Mathews still maintains his interest in Soccer and other games like Badminton and Tennis. He is also very much into Yoga and Meditation.
With over 20 years of rich experience in the Corporate and Consulting industry Mathew has done many training programmes for corporates. He has also been a speaker at various professional and academic forums on topics related to Marketing, HR and Consulting. Subjects close to his heart are “Employer branding” and “Employability Enhancement”. Graduated in Economics and Management, he is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and heads his businesses under brand “TASK” as its Managing Director.
A Business Architect by profession, Santosh Kumar has lent his innate strategy-building and brand-positioning skills to diverse businesses like Forever Precious Jewellery & Diamonds Ltd., Just Monkeying – a Children’s Library, and The Bodhitree. He has likewise been a renowned figure at notable fashion and jewellery design institutes. At the moment, he also is an honorary member of the Governing Council at MIT Institute of Design, Pune.
While work and teaching are his passion, he is equally involved with wildlife conservation, which he pursues assiduously along with his other hobbies of photography and off-roading.
She has a long service of 38 years in the Reserve Bank of India in various areas of the functioning of the central bank of our country and retired as Deputy General Manager in February 2015.
She has during her career worked as a faculty at the Reserve Bank’s Bankers’ Training College at Mumbai for three years where she developed a passion for training and development and qualified herself to enhance knowledge and skill in imparting training in the area of communication skills, leadership, motivation and team building, emotional intelligence, train the trainer and various self development modules.
She has a Diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan) and Diploma in Training & Development (Indian Society for Training and Development).
She has also obtained a certification for practising NLP after undergoing the Basic, Master & Trainer of Neurolinguistic Programming (The National Federation of Neurolinguistic Psychology, USA).
Recently she obtained a Doctorate in Counselling (from the Victoria Global University) and has also done an M.Sc (Psychology) (from Madras University) along with an MS in Psychotherapic Counselling (IPMS, Mumbai), with the objective of understanding the subject and its application at respective workplace.
Her present interest is to reach out to assist people in resolving personal issues, by attending to Counselling needs for employees; students; others as well as providing faculty support in conducting and participating in training programmes on Human Resources for students and teachers; middle & senior management.
Her other interests include music, movies and travel.
Prof. Mammen has been associated with academics as a faculty with IBS Ahmedabad since the past fifteen years. His has extensively taught various subjects and courses in the areas of marketing, marketing research, business research methods, business analytics and has been thrice awarded “The Best All Round Faculty” by the IBS Alumni Federation. He has published in various national and international journals and conducted various FDP’s on “Teaching Methodologies” in various colleges in Western India.
Apart from his academic sojourn, he has had a corporate stint of 17 years and has worked in the areas of Pharmaceuticals, Agri-Business, Wind energy, Telecom and Management Consulting. He has consulted to various SME’s and handled many a research projects for corporates like TVS Motors, India Post (Speed Post), Pioma Industries (Rasna), Mudra Communications, Bajaj Auto, Tata Teleservices Ltd etc.
His current interests include data analytics, basic marketing, digital marketing, marketing research, consumer behaviour etc.
